1. Equipment & Setup
- Flags (x2): One flag for each team (cloth, cone, or lightweight marker)
- Dodgeballs (4–6): Soft foam or rubber balls to ensure safety
- Cones/Markers: To mark boundaries, bases, safe zones, and midfield
- Play Area: A rectangular field (recommended 20m x 30m)
Setup Steps
- Divide players into 2 equal teams (4–10 players each)
- Mark two bases at opposite ends of the field. Place each team’s flag inside its base
- Mark a midfield zone where dodgeballs are scattered
- Mark safe zones near each base (small circles/cones). Players inside a safe zone cannot be frozen
2. Objective
- Steal the opponent’s flag and bring it back to your base without being frozen
- Protect your own flag from being stolen
- First team to capture the opponent’s flag wins the round
3. Player Roles
Teams may assign roles at the start (roles can change during play):
- Attackers: Enter enemy territory to steal the flag
- Defenders: Guard their own flag, throw dodgeballs to freeze opponents
- Supporters: Collect dodgeballs, unfreeze teammates, assist attackers
4. Basic Gameplay Flow
- Both teams start inside their bases
- At the whistle, players scatter:
- Attackers move toward the enemy base
- Defenders secure their base
- Supporters assist and gather balls
- Players may throw dodgeballs at opponents to freeze them
- A frozen player must:
- Stop moving
- Stand still for 5 seconds
- Or wait until a teammate tags them
- Flag rules while carrying:
- Cannot throw balls
- Must return to base without being frozen
- If the flag carrier is frozen:
- Must drop the flag immediately
- Flag stays on the ground until picked up
5. Freezing & Unfreezing Rules
- A hit by a dodgeball (shoulders down, no headshots) freezes a player
- Frozen players must raise one hand
- Frozen players cannot block or interfere
- Teammates can unfreeze by tagging
6. Flag Handling Rules
- The flag must always be visible and carried by hand
- Cannot be hidden inside clothing
- Flag carrier cannot throw dodgeballs
- Dropped flag remains in place until picked up
7. Safe Zones
- Each team has a safe zone (~3m radius) near its base
- Players inside cannot be frozen
- Only one player per team allowed inside at a time
- Cannot stay inside enemy safe zone or base for more than 5 seconds
8. Fouls & Penalties
- Camping: Must stay at least 1m away from own flag
- Headshots: Results in thrower being frozen
- Flag Throwing: Flags must not be thrown
- Boundary Violations: Stepping out results in immediate freeze at nearest boundary point
9. Winning Conditions
- Standard Mode: First team to capture and return the flag wins
- Tournament Mode: Best of 3 rounds
- Timed Mode: 15–20 minutes; most captures wins
10. Game Variations
- Multi-Flag Mode: Each team has 2–3 flags; all must be captured
- Timed Respawn Mode: Frozen players wait 10 seconds before returning
11. Sportsmanship & Safety
- No tackling, pushing, or grabbing
- Use soft dodgeballs only
- Avoid excessive force
- Encourage teamwork and fair play
